Job Description

The Loudoun County Department of Information Technology (DIT) is currently seeking a SharePoint Developer/Site Collections Administrator responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining (administration and monitoring), supporting the functionality and content with continued development and support activities on the hosted platform.

The SharePoint Administrator serves as a resident expert on SharePoint and Office 365 services and assists the community leverage SharePoint solutions by conducting SharePoint/Office365 service training. This position requires in-depth knowledge and demonstrated hands-on expertise with Office 365/SharePoint Online, SharePoint Framework, and SharePoint Designer. This position plays an integral part in the development of strategies for optimal use of SharePoint and other collaborative tools within the organization. Specific job requirements include:

  • Responsible for overseeing the SharePoint implementation, user access and application deployment.
  • Manage all aspects of the SharePoint environment, including design, architecture, implementation, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring and security of the portal.
  • Planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new SharePoint based initiatives; develop, configure and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections.
  • Perform system administrative activities such as site creation, user training, backup, restore and issue resolution.
  • Work closely with site administrators to design and develop solutions to address county departments' business needs and opportunities, and propose changes that would make the SharePoint environment more effective.
  • Maintain and administer Microsoft SharePoint implementation, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis; as well as serve as the SharePoint Expert.
  • Provide technical guidance to site administrators in the technologies related the development and support of an O365 SharePoint environment.


Job Requirements

Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and a minimum of four years of experience in system administration.  The successful candidate will have knowledge of Office 365 Architecture, Power Apps and Microsoft Flow.
