Job Description

The Office of Elections and Voter Registration is seeking candidates to serve in an ongoing temporary Assistant Registrar pool. The successful candidates will assist office staff with voter registration and election related tasks such as data entry, customer service, answering phones, checking reports, filing, absentee voting, etc. Work for the Temporary Assistant Registrars will be seasonal with the majority of the hours being in the months of September, October, and November each year to support the November General Election. Additionally workers in the temp pool may be called upon to assist around other elections and times of increased workload as needed and available.

Job Requirements

Requires High School diploma or equivalent and two years of clerical and customer service experience. Must be a registered voter in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Special Requirements

The bulk of the hours allotted to the temporary Assistant Registrar pool will be in September, October, and November to support of the General Election. Ability to work a flexible schedule (days, evenings, weekends) is strongly preferred.
