Loudoun County, one of the fastest growing Counties in the nation, is currently seeking a talented, highly motivated construction professional to join the Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure. The Construction Manager will independently manage complex transportation, road and building projects during construction, commissioning, and post construction phases to ensure the work is executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and the project schedule. Additionally, the Construction Manager will manage the scope, schedule, and budget of capital improvement projects, independently develop professional services contract tasking and scopes of work, proactively manage the construction phase of the work, and serve as a senior technical resource for complex design and construction management issues. Loudoun County’s Amended FY 2017 – 2022 Capital Improvement Program includes $2.033 billion in general government capital projects.
The ideal candidate will possess any combination of education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, construction project management, or related field; and at least 4 years of professional engineering or construction management experience of a complex nature, and contract management experience. Experience in construction management software, such as e-Builder, is a plus. Candidate must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to inspect existing sites and active construction projects, often requires walking or climbing elevated structures, may be exposed to inclement weather while in the field. Subject to call twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
