IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
•Experience processing large volumes of accounts payable invoices
•Experience working in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-specific competencies
A passing score on a general clerical/accounting exam.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, procedures, methods, and theory.
- Knowledge of laws, rules, and policies governing assigned functional accounting area.
- Ability to make and verify mathematical calculations.
- Ability to analyze and audit accounting, budgetary, and fiscal data.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and apply job-related rules, policies and procedures.
- Ability to prepare basic reports.
- Ability to review and monitor the work of support staff.
- Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, database and related software applications.

•Review, audit, and approve invoices or receipts from purchasing card (Pcard) transactions and work with departments to resolve discrepancies
•Review, audit, and post utility bills and work with departments and supplier to resolve discrepancies
•Create and reconcile utility invoice payment batches
•Cross-train as backup to Quality Assurance to perform post auditing of non-Pcard and non-utility invoices
