JOB OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for assisting with the coordination and planning of fitness and wellness programs and activities. These duties include exercise classes, health seminars and special events, scheduling, supervision, and maintenance of the day-to-day operations and programs of the County's Wellness Centers/Senior Centers. This position is also responsible for all job-related administrative tasks such as staff, equipment, and facility supervision, monthly and annual reporting, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associate's degree; and

At least 2 years of experience in the health and wellness field; and

Current CPR/Basic Life Support, AED, and First Aid Certification.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

  • Assists in planning, organizing, documenting, and implementing health/wellness programming events for participants.
  • Assists in conducting group and individual health and wellness seminars.
  • Coordinates personal training programs and associated processes.
  • Assists in conducting community outreach and seeks out community partnerships to expand health and wellness program offerings.
  • Provides documentation on evaluation of wellness programs as it pertains to marketing, attendance, participation, and performance data.
  • Provides training to staff and volunteers on health and wellness topics.
  • Provides administrative task support assistance at centers such as answering phone calls, maintaining inventory, data entry, filing, copying, etc.
  • Oversees fitness and wellness program marketing materials and processes.
  • Inspects fitness and wellness facility areas for maintenance and repair, cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of operations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
