Wheel/Tire Specialist (#WHLTSPAFSD) AFSD
$10.10-$16.03 Hourly / $1,750.67-$2,778.53 Monthly / $21,008.00-$33,342.40 Yearly


Performs automotive wheel and tire repair and maintenance duties.


Completion of sixth grade; and

Sixth months of experience in replacing, repairing, maintaining or inspecting wheels and tires.

Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted below.

and Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).

  • Working knowledge of wheel and tire supplies and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of safety procedures for using tire and wheel supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to remove vehicle wheels and tires and place them on mounting and balancing machines.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to follow established procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports.

  • Repairs tires.
  • Checks and adjust tire pressure.
  • Mounts tires on wheels and wheels on hubs and dismounts same.
  • Balances tires and assists in vehicle front end alignment.
  • Operates and maintains tools and equipment.
  • Maintains wheel and tire accountability.
  • Performs wheel and tire safety and classification inspections.
  • Prepares and maintains records and reports.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
