JOB OVERVIEW

Performs duties coordinating the activities of computer system operations within an organization or with other organizations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; and
Two years of experience with an Information Technology or Data Processing function or vendor- troubleshooting and coordinating the resolution of complex hardware and software problems; coordinating the installation of new hardware and software; and upgrades to existing systems.

Or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted below.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

  • Coordinates and expedites data processing activities within own organization or with other organizations.
  • Consults with department's managerial and/or computer personnel to clarify intent of programs, determine extent of automatic programming and coding techniques to use, point out problems, and suggest changes.
  • Coordinates work with clients to assure their needs are satisfied.
  • Recommends procedures and policies governing the use of computer hardware and software including operational priorities.
  • Develops reports using report writer software to provide information to management and staff for decision making.
  • Trains personnel in the use of computer software and hardware.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
