JOB OVERVIEW

Performs supervisory duties coordinating and implementing paratransit vehicle schedules using automated scheduling software.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate; and

Two years of experience as a route scheduler or dispatcher.

Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted below.

Possession of a valid Driver License.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

  • Supervises the work of subordinate staff by assigning and reviewing work, providing training and counseling, and evaluating performance.
  • Analyzes and modifies vehicular transportation routes to maximize vehicle space utilization and route efficiency by reviewing driver trip logs and occasionally test driving the route.
  • Insures proper type vehicle is assigned based on client's needs.
  • Coordinates vehicle usage, client trip origins/destinations and transit times to provide for efficient transportation support of clients.
  • Prints transportation manifests/schedules and provides to designated carriers.
  • Assists in determining staffing requirements, conducting interviews and selecting personnel.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
