JOB OVERVIEW

Performs supervisory duties involving land acquisition, disposition, lease administration and technical support of real property transactions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited four year degree granting college or university with a degree in Real Estate, Business, Public Administration, Planning, Architecture, or Engineering; and
Five years of experience conducting land transactions; land appraisal or title abstracting;

Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted below; and

Possession of a valid Driver License.

A passing score on multiple-choice test number 46.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

  • Extensive knowledge of real estate appraisal, acquisition and disposition.
  • Considerable knowledge of laws, regulations, and procedures governing eminent domain, the conveyance of and disposition of real property, and property management.
  • Considerable knowledge of land title, legal descriptions and legal documents.
  • Working knowledge of GIS and other real property related programs and software.
  • Skill in negotiating the acquisition of real property.
  • Skill in the inspection and appraisal of real property.
  • Ability to plan, organize and supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to collect, organize and evaluate data and to develop logical conclusions.
  • Ability to organize information into a logical presentation format.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

  • Audits all property acquisition and disposition transactions to insure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coordinates transactions and related matters with developers, attorneys, appraisers, title companies, and other governmental agencies.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
