JOB OVERVIEW

Performs lead worker duties serving meals and maintaining cleanliness of food service areas and equipment at County Nutrition Centers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate; and
Six months of experience in preparing or serving a high volume of meals.

Or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted below.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

  • Performs lead worker duties and monitors personnel removing food from refrigerators, assembling meals including special diet trays, serving specified portions of hot and cold food and sanitizing dishes and trays at Nutrition Centers.
  • Orders meals based on guidance from Center Coordinator.
  • Inventories food items and advises supervisor of shortages.
  • Determines the number of prepared food trays needed for home delivery.
  • Completes daily reports such as client attendance, number of meals served, substitution of food items and leftover food items.
  • Trains personnel as to proper portions of food items, correct meal tray assembly and proper use of equipment.
  • Assists in the cleaning and sanitizing of food service areas to insure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Delivers meals to client's homes as required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
