JOB OVERVIEW

Position's primary function is to lead business specific and enterprise-wide groups consisting of staff under the Chief Financial Administrator, ERP Module Super Users and line department staff in support of ERP and Enterprise-wide applications and integrations in order to leverage system functionality.  Position will be responsible for collaboratively developing, enhancing and managing business processes and system utilization in support of fiscal, budget, human capital management, payroll, benefits and procurement; including reporting and training.  Position will work cross functionally in one or more business domains and applications.  A thorough understanding of an ERP system, integrations and functionality is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics or related field (Job related work experience can be substituted for education) 1-2 years of Oracle Business Intelligence experience (or similar business intelligence application) with an emphasis on analytical and/or reporting tools Advanced SQL skills, with experience querying large data sets from multiple sources and developing automated reporting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Position may involve extended periods of sitting, standing or walking as well in-town travel to office location outside County Center on an as-needed-basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates, maintains and supports complex custom reports and dashboards for Hillsborough County departments, managers and employees utilizing Oracle Business Intelligence.
  • Responds to user ad-hoc requests for data, advising and assisting with options for providing requested information.
  • Provides training, documentation and end-user support for custom reports and dashboards.
  • Works collaboratively with department, program managers, and support staff to understand issues, develop, discuss, document, implement and manage reporting solutions within the Business Intelligence environment.
  • Collaborates with department management and other support team members to identify, define and implement metrics and KPI reports/dashboards required to manage daily operational and support processes.
  • Assists in maintaining and updating ETL mappings, as well as monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing daily load processes.
  • Works in partnership with Management to discuss/share ideas, troubleshoot issues, develop solutions, documentation, training and action plans.
  • Identifies additional reporting opportunities to combine multiple data sources to provide new and unique data analysis opportunities for County management.
  • Develops and maintains thorough understanding of Oracle EBS modules and business processes, as well as underlying data sources through independent research and collaboration/communication with all levels of staff.
  • Maintains high level of understanding of Oracle Business Intelligence solutions and technologies through independent research, utilizing Oracle on-line educational tools, developing training, attending conferences and training, leading work groups and developing/maintaining professional relationships with Oracle ERP governmental user groups within the County, the State and Country.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

In the event of an emergency or disaster, an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee’s department, the County’s Office of Emergency Management, or County Administration. Such assignments may be for before, during or after the emergency/disaster.
