The purpose of this position is to manage an enterprise level security services program supporting all county facilities. Works closely with Directors and Agency Leaders to coordinate and help develop comprehensive security plans. Reviews and oversees the Security Agreement with Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office for downtown Tampa facility security of 9 County facilites; as well as oversees the Security contract for county facilities outside of the downtown area. Meets with vendors/procurement/county of security related activities. Position conducts Crime Prevention through Environmental Design assessments and provides security awareness training to county employees.
High school diploma/GED.
Minimum of 5 years of security related experience including conducting high level briefings with both distinguished leaders and citizens.
Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program management of enterprise level security at all 480 county facilities.
Develops comprehensive security plans, evaluates initiatives by established metrics, provides recommendations of the use of new technologies in related fields.
Manages and oversees the Security Agreement with the Hillsborough County Sheriff Office for the downtown Tampa facility security as well as oversees the security contract for county facilities outside of the downtown area.
Collaborate with directors and agency leaders to coordinate and help develop comprehensive security plans for various buildings.
Provides Security Awareness training to county employees. Pro-actively reaches out to departments and employees to check awareness. Works closely with the HR training section, Risk Management, and department safety officers to ensure a coordinated stance on security and personal safety.
Works closely with the downtown area Sheriff's Security Force. Directly ensures the maintenance of the security equipment and the camera operations center remains operational.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
In the event of an emergency or disaster, an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee’s department, the County’s Office of Emergency Management, or County Administration. Such assignments may be for before, during or after the emergency/disaster.
