Principal Business Analyst (#PRBUSAGENS) GENS
$25.69-$40.78 Hourly / $4,452.93-$7,068.53 Monthly / $53,435.20-$84,822.40 Yearly


Performs highly specialized, independent studies and analyses to develop improved managerial policies, practices, methods, procedures and organizational structures. Duties involve the conduct of detailed reviews of department/agency organization structures, procedures and operating systems using advanced systems analyses methods and, from these reviews, the development and introduction of more efficient and effective management methods, to include the introduction or revision of automated systems. Duties are performed under the general supervision of an immediate supervisor who evaluates performance by observation of work, critiques, and/or records and reports.


Graduation from an accredited four year degree granting college or university; and
Four years of experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of business methods and procedures.

Or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted below.

  • Performs highly complex, independent studies and analyses, and makes conclusive recommendations.
  • Serves as coordinator in conducting major projects involving work measurement studies, management control, plans of service, methods analyses and other aspects of operational audits.
  • Provides assistance to department/agency directors in the installation and refinement of management systems, procedures and techniques.
  • Coordinates and directs the development and installation of automated management systems.
  • Serves as the single point of contact for consultants, manufacturers, suppliers, etc., assisting in the development and installation of automated systems.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
