Manager of Information Sys (#MGINSYGENY) GENY

Performs top-level managerial/administrative duties determining and providing short, intermediate, and long term information services for a County agency, and developing and implementing necessary strategies and operations to satisfy related organizational objectives.


Graduation from an accredited four year degree granting college or university with a major in Computer Science or Information Technology; and
Six years of supervisory or managerial experience in information technology.
A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or Information Technology; and
Four years of managerial experience in information technology.
An Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university; and
Eight years of managerial experience in information technology.

  • Formulates and develops the overall information technology strategy required to meet the goals and objectives of the agency.
  • Develops and leads the implementation of strategies and tactics for acquisition of computer hardware and software to meet the short, intermediate, and long term information needs of the agency, in the most cost effective manner to support the daytoday mission of the office while ensuring the evolutionary development of systems to meet established goals and objectives.
  • Directs the overall activities of agency's management information systems and services, to include the operation of computer systems, networks, information security, data base integrity, and applications development and maintenance.
  • Directs the development and management of the management information budget, determines funding requirements, and monitors and controls the status of funds for capital and expense items, to accomplish agency requirements.
  • Works with other Federal, State, and local agencies to plan for and to establish parameters for data sharing and implementation of joint technology initiatives.
  • Monitors and controls special projects as required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
