  • Processes books and other library material with system and agency symbols; jackets; glues in pockets; attaches bar codes and security control plates; attaches spine labels; and reinforces paperback spines to library material.
  • Prepares library material such as books, sound recordings and kits, for storage, withdrawal, unpacking, delivery or shipment to branches, and assisting with gift and transfer material sorting, alphabetizing, and minor mending.
  • Files library materials, such as books, documents, photographs, negatives, microfiche, microfilm, etc., using a variety of filing systems.
  • Performs routine office and library equipment maintenance, such as cleaning microfilm readers, and replacing paper in photocopiers.
  • Prepares purchase orders for library/agency supplies.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
