JOB OVERVIEW

Performs entry level human resources support duties in one or more areas of a human resource program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate; and
One year of human resources support duties.

Or
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted below.

TESTING REQUIREMENTS

A passing score a on multiple-choice general clerical exam.

A passing score on a data entry test at 100 keystrokes per minute with 90% field accuracy.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

  • Prepares a variety of routine correspondence, notifications, forms, meeting minutes, and related documents in order to communicate information to staff and employees.
  • Establishes and maintains human resources files and associated records and systems in order to provide documentation of activities and comply with Department/Agency records management operating policies and procedures.
  • Proofreads printouts, reports, and other documents/forms used by assigned human resource functional area in order to identify and eliminate errors.
  • Assists other agency/department human resources staff initiate, process, modify or correct information related to human resources actions.
  • Processes routine transactions related to assigned human resource functional area.
  • Responds to questions concerning human resources transactions and provides information for the resolution of routine problems.
  • Enters data into automated systems used by assigned human resource functional area.
  • Performs other duties as required.
