Performs professional accounting duties relating to the preparation of financial reports as required by law, regulations or agreements, and to the coordination of audits by external auditors.


Graduation from an accredited four year granting college or university; and

A current license as a Certified Public Accountant; and

Three years of experience as a professional Accountant.

Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted below.

  • Prepares financial reports in compliance with federal and state law, trust or other agreements and internal needs, utilizing generally accepted accounting principles and practices or other basis of reporting as required.
  • Reviews changes in accounting procedures and accounting treatments and implements as required.
  • Coordinates with external auditors the audit schedule and support requirements, and other areas that may impact the efficiency or quality of the audit.
  • Reviews management letter of external auditors and ensures improvements are implemented as directed.
  • Provides advice on statutory requirements and generally accepted accounting principles as needed.
  • Coordinates the estimate of revenues for the annual budget or updates to the annual budget.
  • Oversees professional and clerical accounting staff as required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
