Performs management duties directing the activities of a large environmental protection and control program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree in a Natural Science, Physical Science or Engineering; and
Four years of experience in environmental pollution control; includingÂ
Two years of experience at a supervisory level; and
Possession of a valid Driver's License.
Or
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-specific competencies noted below.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

Manages activities and resources of a large environmental protection and control program.
Represents the organization before various boards, commissions, citizen groups, business associates, government agencies, and judicial hearings on matters pertaining to environmental activities.
Assists in formulating environmental rules, policies, regulations, and operating instructions.
Supervises the work of subordinate staff by scheduling, assigning and reviewing work, providing training and counseling, and evaluating performance.
Directs investigations, enforcement actions, and preparation of citations/violations.
Performs other related duties as required.
