JOB OVERVIEW

Performs duties developing and administering public funded programs in support of community needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

An Associate's degree; and
One year of experience involving duties concerning research into, developing funding applications for, monitoring, planning, or contracting of community service programs.

Or
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-specific competencies noted below.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

  • Performs research to identify areas of need, potential funding sources and relevant service providers to facilitate establishment of community service programs.
  • Develops and administers grant and ad valorem funded programs and contracts to satisfy community needs.
  • Analyzes needs assessment data to assist in developing policy and making funding decisions.
  • Plans and initiates public meetings with citizens, elected officials and community services representatives to provide a forum for exchange of information and ideas relating to community services needs and services.
  • Coordinates services to insure effective response to community needs and prevent duplication of services.
  • Develops training materials and conducts training on grant program administration to train staff and other agency personnel.
  • Prepares grant application packages to obtain adequate funding for community needs projects.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
