JOB OVERVIEW

Performs intermediate-level technical inspection, coordination and administrative support duties for compliance of contractual and non-contractual County services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate; and
Three years of experience in the inspection, coordination and administration of contractual and non-contractual services.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-specific competencies noted below.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

Depending on assigned area of responsibility, incumbents in the position may perform one or more of the activities described below.

  • Performs semi-routine, scheduled, periodic, and ad hoc inspections and coordination of contractual and non-contractual County services, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, agreements, contracts, departmental regulations and safety requirements.
  • Evaluates, reviews and assesses the performance of contractual and non-contractual County services, reports deficiencies or non-compliance, investigates complaints, recommends solutions to management and may independently re-inspects to verify completion of remedial or corrective action.
  • Receives, reviews and processes purchase orders, invoices, work orders, and quotes to obtain labor services, supplies, and equipment, ensuring services conform to the needs of the County, and general public.
  • Prepares, maintains, and distributes correspondence, forms, schedules, reports, spreadsheets, manuals, logs, records, and related documents, as needed to accomplish coordination related activities.
  • Operates various types of routine office equipment, such as computers and related software, internal automated systems, databases, data processing, telephone systems, copiers/printers, faxes, scanners, and shredders, as needed to accomplish coordination related activities.
  • Serves as liaison to internal/external departments, agencies, vendors, businesses and organizations to ensure County services are complete in accordance with contractual and non-contractual requirements and technical specifications.
  • Coordinates additional inspection and coordination duties for other County departments and agencies, as needed.
  • May oversee the work of contracted and non-contracted workers.
  • May perform inspection, coordination and administrative support duties during times of extreme weather supporting emergency needs of the County and general public.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
