Performs duties inspecting and investigating community code and ordinance violations and notifying violators of infractions to enforce compliance with property maintenance, zoning, sign, landscaping, environmental conservation/preservation, and other assigned code and ordinance requirements that provide for the general health, safety and welfare of the public.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
In the event of an emergency or disaster, an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee’s department, the County’s Office of Emergency Management, or County Administration. Such assignments may be for before, during or after the emergency/disaster.
NOTE: Employees are able to move from Tier 1 to Tier 2 after successful completion of the Codes Enforcement Officer Trainee Program which includes a probationary period of 6 months.
