Artist in Schools Program Coordinator (#ATSPCDGENK) GENK
$15.15-$24.06 Hourly / $2,626.00-$4,170.40 Monthly / $31,512.00-$50,044.80 Yearly


Performs administrative duties in the integration of the visual and applied arts within the Hillsborough County School System.


Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate; and
Two years experience in teaching or coordinating visual and applied arts programs.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-specific competencies noted below.

  • Ability to conduct and teach visual and applied arts workshop classes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain work related reports.
  • Ability to use a computer and related software.

  • Develops and conducts teacher and student familiarization workshops to encourage the use of visual and applied arts.
  • Teaches visual and applied arts classes.
  • Provides implementation guidance and evaluates the Artists In School Program.
  • Auditions artists for proposed programs.
  • Gathers and coordinates monthly newsletter program information.
  • Assists the Program Director as needed.
  • Prepares and compiles correspondence and reports.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
