Artist in Schools Program Coordinator (#ATSPCDCSBK) CSBK

Performs administrative duties in the integration of the visual and applied arts within the Hillsborough County School System.


Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate; and
Two or more years of experience in teaching or coordinating visual and applied arts programs.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-specific competencies noted below.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain work related reports.
  • Ability to use a computer and related software.

  • Develops and conducts teacher and student familiarization workshops to encourage the use of visual and applied arts.
  • Teaches visual and applied arts classes.
  • Provides implementation guidance and evaluates the Artists In School Program. Auditions artists for proposed programs.
  • Gathers and coordinates monthly newsletter program information.
  • Assists the Program Director as needed.
  • Prepares and compiles correspondence and reports.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
