This position provides assistance to the Conservation Manager in accomplishing Fish and Wildlife management objectives on State Wildlife Areas and fishing areas. The incumbent’s primary job duties will include: operating and maintaining land management equipment and boats; performing habitat management activities and installing wildlife food and cover plots; performing herbicide applications; placing and maintaining waterfowl blinds, deer stands, information signs and wildlife nesting structures; maintenance of ponds and water control structures; and managing public use facilities such as boat ramps and wildlife viewing trails and structures. The incumbent will be responsible for the Mike Castle Trail.
