The State Accountant III (SAIII) is a member of the Payroll
Compliance Group within the Division of Accounting. Duties include: the processing of payroll
repayments including updating appropriate tracking logs, processing payments in
a timely fashion, and communicating payments.
The SAIII must possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal
with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The SAIII performs functions related to
compliance such as Payroll expenditure authorizations, funding reconciliation
and various queries. Therefore, the candidate should possess and demonstrate
knowledge of financial management system requirements and accounting
transactions as they relate to Payroll processes.
The State of Delaware recognizes the value of telework and flexible working schedules. This position is eligible for Telework and Alternative Work Schedules according to the State of Delaware’s Alternative Work Arrangement Policy. More information will be shared at the time of interview.
The Division of Accounting may offer remote work and flexible schedules where appropriate. These options will be discussed during the interview and are dependent on position responsibilities.
