The Department of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition is a statewide function of human resources whose mission is to fill vacancies in the shortest time with excellent customer engagement using the latest technology and by constantly evaluating our processes. We support state agencies in their recruitment initiatives and provide various outreach and support services to applicants. In this role as a Human Resources Associate, your primary focus will be supporting recruitment efforts for the Department of Children, Youth & Their Families (DSCYF) and the Department of Technology and Information (DTI), while also assisting other state agencies as assignment needs arise. Responsibilities include reviewing job postings for accuracy, clarity, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices. Additional support to recruitment efforts includes sourcing applicants through social media, job boards, community outreach, and engaging with attendees at hiring events.
Paraprofessional human resource work is characterized by the application of human resource laws, rules and regulations, providing technical assistance to employees, applicants and others in standard human resource transactions, human resource services, and maintaining personnel files. Examples of paraprofessional or technical responsibilities typically assigned include, but are not limited to those described in the Essential Functions below.
