This position will support critical functions and administrative responsibilities related to the State's disability insurance program and act as a subject matter expert in researching and resolving disability claim issues/challenges. The selected candidate will interact on a daily basis with the State's disability insurance program administrator and employees who have applied for short and/or long-term disability benefits.
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
1.Applicants must possess at least one of the following:
Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher.
OR
Three years of professional human resource experience.
OR
Two years of professional human resource experience AND a Statewide Human Resource Certification or human resource certification.
In addition to the above requirement, applicants must meet all of the job requirements below:
Two years’ experience in performing human resource analysis and consultation in support of a human resource function.
Two years’ experience in providing guidance, direction and recommendations to employees, management or others on inquiries and/or challenges.
Two years' experience in researching, analyzing and interpreting data and presenting findings.
One year of experience in ensuring compliance with human resource laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
