Summary Statement

Responsible for preparing fiscal reports and analysis to provide accurate and consistent financial and fiscal information to support DTI’s business decisions, new initiatives, and special projects.

Assist in providing technical and procedural guidance training and assistance to new and/or lower-level personnel and other departmental staff members.

Areas of responsibility may include procurement, accounts payable, cost recovery, payroll accounting, fiscal monitoring, monthly reconciliation, financial analysis and reports, Federal grants programs, collections, and accounts receivable processing.

This position requires technical training and experience in governmental accounting, particularly in the areas of cost recovery and general accounting practices.

Preferred Qualification

Preferred Requirements for DTI Fiscal Analyst

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field or 5 years’ experience in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in billing and financial information systems
  • Possess knowledge of the state procurement process

Job Requirements

Job Requirements for DTI Fiscal Analyst

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience with the daily operations of a business office, cost recovery, and payroll accounting
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years’ hand on experience preparing various types of state financial documents, reconciliation, and reports such as purchase orders, payment vouchers, and monthly Pcard transaction reconciliation
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in governmental accounting, payroll, budgeting, cost recovery, and auditing methods and techniques
  • Possess knowledge of the methods and techniques used in assembling, analyzing, and interpreting financial and accounting data, and the preparation of financial reports

Conditions of Hire

Criminal background check: A satisfactory fingerprint based criminal background check administered by the Delaware State Police is required as a Condition of Hire.
