The Division of Fish & Wildlife conserves and manages Delaware’s fish and wildlife and their habitats, and provides fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing and boating access on nearly 65,000 acres of public land. Fish and wildlife resource conservation and safe boating are achieved through promoting public compliance with laws and regulations. We control mosquito populations to improve quality of life and protect public health. The division delivers hunter, boating and aquatic education programs, and provides licensing and boat registration services.

These two positions are within the Wildlife/Fisheries Construction Team, which performs major construction and maintenance projects on state wildlife areas, state fisheries ponds and public boat ramps located throughout the state. This position operates heavy and specialized construction equipment including dump trucks, tractor trailers, bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, air boats, and weed/algae harvesters in the safest and most cost-effective manner. These positions build, repair, and maintain dikes, impoundments, ponds, parking lots and roads, and install and repair water structures, floating dock systems and culverts. These positions also assist in maintenance and repair of equipment and assist in the training and supervision of lower-level Conservation Technicians and seasonal. These positions will also assist staff biologists with biological data collection including at deer checking stations.
