The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) seeks to increase the number of applicants for clinical nursing positions by offering a recruitment incentive to eligible Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Consultant, Nursing Supervisor, Compliance Nurse, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Certified Nursing Assistant candidates in accordance with the DHSS Recruitment and Referral Incentive Program.
The program provides incentives as follows:
NOTE: This program is administered by the Department of Health and Social Services. The program may be terminated by the State at any time.
The incumbent in this position works as a member of the
Nursing Management Team at DHCI; plans, directs, supervises and evaluates the
work of other nursing staff. The incumbent will provide orientation and
training, conduct meetings, and ensure communication and quality services are
provided.

REQUIREMENTS for Nursing Supervisor
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating
competence in each of the following areas:
1. At
least three years experience as a Registered Nurse OR a Bachelors degree or
higher in Nursing and at least two years experience as a Registered Nurse OR a
Masters degree or higher in Nursing and at least one year experience as a
Registered Nurse.
2. Possession
of a Delaware Registered Nurse license OR multi-state compact license.
3. Knowledge
of staff supervision acquired through course work, academic training, training
provided through an employer, or performing as a lead worker overseeing the
work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning, assigning,
reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate
supervisors a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees.

Incumbents working four or more hours of work between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. the following day will receive 5% shift differential pay.
Upon a conditional offer, the applicant must undergo a pre-employment base line two step tuberculin skin test (TST) as part of the hiring process.
