JOB REQUIREMENTS for Conservation Technician III
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control: Division of Parks:
Due to a new Interim Federal Rule (IFR) from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) the following mandate is effective Nov. 19, 2021, as a condition of employment, employees providing health care services and/or support services in covered facilities must show proof that they have received the first dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine or the one-dose COVID-19 vaccine of a one-dose vaccine by December 6, 2021; or as of December 6, an employee may not provide any care, treatment, or other services until proof is provided. The IFR further requires that these employees (covered by the IFR) are required to be fully vaccinated and provide proof by January 4, 2022; or as of January 4, 2022, employees may not provide any care, treatment, or other services until proof is provided. The only exception to these requirements is for those employees granted medical or religious exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which may require weekly COVID-19 testing. As a condition of hire you must possess a valid CDL Class B driver's license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
As a condition of hire the applicant must agree as a requirement of employment to possess a Delaware Private Applicators Certification within 180 days of employment.
This position is a classification organized under an exclusive bargaining representative (labor organization). The candidate selected for this position shall be asked to join and pay dues to the labor organization or may, decline joining the labor organization and not pay dues or a fee. The labor organization has been elected by employees as their representative for collective bargaining and other work related purposes.
Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire. The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
