Summary Statement

The IT SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR (ISA) implements and maintains security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines for DTI facilities and computing systems and for state agencies, school districts and other entities as required.   

Conduct investigations, administer information access controls and perform other security measures for DTI computing sites statewide.  Coordinate and administer security activities across interdepartmental teams within DTI and other outside client agencies.  

Support and participate in agency projects to implement, insure, train and administer information security.  Develop and implement training for Information Security Officers and ACF2 administrators. Conduct security training to DTI and customers related to information security and risk management.   

Provide physical security for DTI work locations including building access, door and video surveillance, inspections, investigations, maintenance, and visitor management.  

Monitor security violations and prepare reports as needed; incident reporting, issue remediation; manage security clearances for DTI staff, contractors and vendors.  

Write proposals, summaries, documentation, and prepare reports concerning security matters. Promote security best practices to the Information Security Officers as required.  

Coordinate or manage special projects pertaining to IT security and IT Consolidation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Security Administrator

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in an IT discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT Security Administration.

Conditions of Hire

Criminal background check: A satisfactory fingerprint based criminal background check administered by the Delaware State Police is required as a Condition of Hire.
