The principal responsibilities include overall strategic, technical management, and expansion of the State Network Team. This team focuses on providing, maintaining, and protecting all connectivity for the State of Delaware, partner agencies, and K-12 networks, covering circuits, LAN, WAN, routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure. The role promotes leading-edge thinking and develops innovative, strategic solutions aligned with government practices. This manager inspires and motivates staff by being a catalyst for creative problem-solving, solution generation, implementation, and teamwork.
This senior level manager is responsible for the full life cycle of enterprise-wide network connectivity solutions, including circuits, LAN, WAN, routing, switching, and wireless. The candidate will lead the design and implementation of technical solutions and systems to develop and meet long-range goals and objectives. The selected individual must have proven experience in extremely technical and critical environments, balancing performance and functionality with the essential requirements for reliability and security. The selected individual will have high expectations of accomplishment and extraordinary strategic business and industry knowledge, ambition, talent, and people skills.

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
