Summary Statement

The Security Analyst role reports to the Information Security Manager and is responsible for the overall information security administration within the Delaware Judicial Branch. This position is a part of the Information Security Team. It provides hands-on support for all security aspects, including remediation of vulnerabilities, user access provisioning, network monitoring, incident response, and more. 

Essential Functions

  • Operational support for information security tool alerts, triaging, and maintenance
  • Provides hands-on support for user access provisioning, vulnerability mitigations, and other security-related requests.
  • Assists in monitoring cyber security events and the deployment of critical updates.
  • Participates in projects to ensure solutions are compliant and secure.
  • Provides input for Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plans. And participates in State testing and tabletop exercises specific to the Judicial Branch.
  • Participates in an Incident Response Team for the Delaware Judicial Branch.
  • Assists in security training administration for Judicial Branch employees.  
  • Research security trends, new methods, and techniques used in order to eliminate the possibility of system breaches preemptively
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on information security-related projects and initiatives assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality on all sensitive security matters

Job Requirements

  1. A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  2. At least two years of experience working in the IT field related to Information Security.
  3. Experience with Active Directory and managing access across a complex network.
  4. Solid experience with client/server platforms, including using network monitoring tools to assess abnormal network activity; Performing server administration tasks, including account provisioning and administration; Conducting OS and application patching; Understanding of event logs and system resources; PowerShell scripting.
  5. Experience using security software to identify threats, mitigate findings, and prevent future vulnerabilities.
  6. Experience supporting, troubleshooting, and configuring Endpoint security tools.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to quickly and succinctly describe issues and recommend options for resolution.
  8. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and initiatives.
  9. Experience with IBM z/OS ACF2, Natural/ADABAS (mainframe) is preferred.

Additional Posting Information

A teleworking option may be extended to the employee selected for this position if the criteria is met per the Delaware Judicial Branch Telework Policy.
