The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) seeks to increase the number of applicants for clinical nursing positions by offering a recruitment incentive to eligible Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Consultant, Nursing Supervisor, Compliance Nurse, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Certified Nursing Assistant candidates in accordance with the DHSS Recruitment and Referral Incentive Program.

This Compliance Nurse posting is for two separate working locations for the Division of Health Care Quality. This position is responsible for ensuring the regulatory compliance of healthcare agencies/facilities in Delaware. The incumbent will: conduct Federal certification and/or State licensure surveys of healthcare agencies/facilities; conduct and investigate complaint allegations; assess the quality of care and relate findings to statutory/regulatory requirements; develop deficiency reports; review/assess corrective action plans; participate in updating healthcare regulations; and prepare/maintain records; and may be required to appear in courts of law or before boards/commissions.
