Summary Statement

The IT SECURITY COORDINATOR/COMPLIANCE ANALYST (ISC/CA) is a member of the DTI Risk Management and Governance Team that is responsible for the statewide governance of Information Security, Federal compliance, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity.  This team’s mission is to foster an enterprise-level climate of ownership and accountability for the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets.  

Principal responsibilities are:

  • Research, design, and deploy effective and relevant information security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Identify gaps in compliance to policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter specialist on regulatory and audit compliance and risk management initiatives.
  • Build and maintain a strong system of information technology internal controls and audit for compliance.
  • Interface with external auditors; develop and track Corrective Action Plans.
  • Facilitate corrective action planning sessions among DTI and/or customer teams.
  • Ensure that responses to IT audit findings are tracked and solutions implemented in a timely manner.
  • Stay current on Federal, State and Local laws, documents and standards to determine compliance requirements to include; IRS Pub 1075, PCI, HIPAA and CJIS compliance.
  • Work with DTI teams and vendors to achieve the highest level of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability for State of Delaware systems and data.

  • Possess a bachelors’ degree in IT, related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in planning, organizing, and developing information security policies, procedures, and best practices as it relates to Federal, State, and Local information security laws.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in information technology compliance and or auditing.  

Conditions of Hire

Criminal background check: A satisfactory fingerprint based criminal background check administered by the Delaware State Police is required as a Condition of Hire.
