Summary Statement

This position is for a web developer responsible for the technical development, production, and ongoing maintenance of internal and external Delaware State Parks websites. The incumbent will write, test, troubleshoot, analyze and perform maintenance within .Net, SharePoint and other environments.

Essential Functions

  • Writes, tests, troubleshoots and deploys new and existing website(s) and web pages within a .Net environment.
  • Creates, supports, manages and maintains static, dynamic, responsive and downloadable website content.
  • Responds to and resolves web-related requests.
  • Performs systems analysis and design employing information needs analysis, requirements analysis and design alternative analysis.
  • Provides alternative design proposals including cost/benefit analyses.
  • Connects to APIs and updates as needed.
  • Provides user orientation and training in new/modified applications.
  • May serve as team leader periodically as projects dictate, to include reviewing computer programs for accuracy and efficiency and coordinating the testing and production of new/modified system capabilities.
  • Writes progress, incident and analytics reports and maintains version control.
  • Provides operational, program and user documentation.
  • Performs related work as required.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Associates Degree or higher in IT or related field OR equivalent work experience.
  2. Six months experience in designing, developing and maintaining web applications using SQL, C#.Net or ASP.Net programming.
  3. Six months experience in database management systems, which includes database design, testing, and implementation.
  4. Six months experience in information systems analysis and design.
  5. Experience in User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) development.
  6. Experience in utilizing programming languages such as C#.Net, ASP.Net, SQL or Visual Studio 2010 or greater.
  7. Experience in spreadsheet analysis and data presentation.
