About the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) provides leadership, policy development, planning, and analysis to maximize the value of Delaware’s people, facilities, land, and financial resources. OMB supports the Governor’s policy agenda, manages the state’s budget and capital projects, oversees state facilities, delivers essential government support services, administers pensions, and operates the state’s central payroll system. Through these efforts, OMB ensures efficient and effective management of Delaware’s financial, human, and capital resources for the benefit of all Delawareans.
About the Internship
Interns will support accounting and financial operations with responsibilities such as:
Analyzing and reconciling vouchers, ledgers, and statements
Monitoring expenditures for budget compliance
Reviewing financial transactions and accounts for accuracy
Compiling reports for state, federal, and special-funded programs
Assisting with budget preparation, cost projections, and forecasting
Supporting internal controls, policy reviews, and process improvements
Ensuring compliance with state and federal fiscal requirements
