Summary Statement

The seasonal position will sell park permits, provide customer service by explaining regulations, answering visitor requests, needs and complaints, and providing information about the park and surrounding areas. Responsibilities may include completing daily deposits, verifies fee booth revenue and paperwork, creating associated revenue reports; running an automated sales program, tracking supplies and inventory, and other clerical duties as required. Applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Essential Functions

Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class.  Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.

  • Collects appropriate fees and accountability for handling of money.
  • Serves as liaison with the public, clients, staff and others to exchange information and explain services, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and compiles fiscal and narrative records and reports.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills. ·        
  • Maintains a positive attitude.
  • Other duties are required.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Six months customer service experience.
  2. Six months experience in cash handling, writing receipts.
  3. Six months experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets or databases.

Conditions of Hire

Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire.  The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.

Selection Process
