The focus of this position is on implementing the architecture and the engineering processes and best practices to enable the foundational infrastructure (compute, network, storage, and service availability) required for application hosting in a public cloud. Primary duties are for all aspects of the infrastructure including, but not limited to, design, provisioning, cloud management tooling, monitoring, and orchestration.
Core Technologies:
Incumbents work under general supervision of a Telecom Technologist Lead. Employees are assigned duties that provide skilled technical support and project leadership to solve complex business and technology problems. The incumbent serves as a primary point of contact that partners with internal business and development stakeholders to develop infrastructure architecture that supports the rapidly growing and evolving infrastructure needs. The role is responsible for maintaining and creating relevant and up-to-date infrastructure documentation for all deployed systems and cross-training. This position serves as the Level/Tier 3 support and escalates more complex issues. Provides training and mentoring for less experienced team members as needed.
