Department of Technology and Information Senior Project Management (PM) Specialist will provide the project management expertise to allow for the successful implementation of Information Technology (IT) projects within the State of Delaware.
The Senior PM Specialist may also provide supervisory or specialized project management expertise to allow for the successful implementation of all major IT projects within the State of Delaware.
Primary responsibilities include administering the State of Delaware’s Project/Portfolio Management System (Planview) in addition to leading one or more projects at any given time and may involve supervisory management and/or specialization in a field, including Strategic Process re-engineering, Cloud solution implementations and upgrades, and multi-agency implementations.
Position will require an in-depth knowledge of industry and public sector methodologies for the successful implementation of major projects along with a track record for management and/or specialty.
The Senior PM Specialist is highly organized, articulate, detail oriented, has highly developed business acumen, and is comfortable leading and delegating within a cross-functional project team structure.
The Senior PM Specialist reports directly to the Director of the Project Management Office.

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Criminal background check: A satisfactory fingerprint based criminal background check administered by the Delaware State Police is required as a Condition of Hire.
