DNREC is Now Offering Sign-on Bonuses for Engineers!
The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) recognizes its Engineers are a highly valued resource and play a critical role in protecting public health and the environment. For that reason, we are now providing monetary recruitment incentives to new DNREC Engineers in accordance to our Recruitment Program Policy and Procedures.
The program provides recruitment incentives as follows:
Sign-On Bonus– Incentives are based on the position classification:
Incentives are paid in two installments. One installment after three months of employment and the second installment after eighteen months from the initial date of employment. New employees accepting this recruitment bonus must commit to two consecutive years of employment with DNREC in the Engineer I-IV series. Must be a new hire to the State of Delaware or new to the Engineer classification series within the State of Delaware
NOTE: You will receive more information during the hiring process. This program is administered by the DNREC – Employment Services section. The program may be terminated by DNREC at any time with or without notice.
This position includes permitting and compliance work for minor and major facilities in the State of Delaware. Air permits authorize the construction and operation of equipment at facilities. Compliance work ensures that businesses are operating in accordance with the Federal and State regulations as well as in a responsible manner that is protective of the air quality of the State of Delaware.
