Summary Statement

The seasonal Wagon Operator at Bellevue State Park is responsible for transporting visitors on a wagon ride throughout the park and oversees campfires after the ride is complete. A walkthrough on how to operate a tractor will be provided to all staff.  Applicants must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled.

Essential Functions

Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class.   • Load passengers safely on and off wagons.
  • Operate a wagon, taking visitors on a leisurely wagon-ride through the park.
  • Provide customer service and ensure safety of visitors.
  • Oversee campfires included with the wagon-ride.
  • Must demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Perform other related work as required.

Job Requirements

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
