The Delaware Public Archives is seeking a diligent and
detail-oriented Processing Archivist to join our team. The individual in this role will be
responsible for arranging, describing, and preserving archival materials in
accordance with established archival principles, including provenance and
original order. The Archivist will
adhere to a predefined metadata schema and apply basic preservation techniques
to materials that are damaged or at risk.
Frequent professional development opportunities will be available to
support continued growth in the field. This position reports to the Records
Services Supervisor.
Possess a Bachelor's degree in History, Library Science, Political Science, or a related field, with academic and practical focus on records management, archival principles, and historical research methodologies.
