Delaware's Attorney General, the State's chief law enforcement

safeguard families, provide legal services to entirety of state government, and
fight fraud.
In the Civil Division, approximately 80 attorneys provide legal support to the
executive branch agencies in the form of general counsel advice, administrative
hearing prosecutions, board representation, and all stages of civil

Attorneys in the Civil Division enjoy a 37.5 hour work week with true work/life balance including: a hybrid work environment, no billable hours, generous paid time off, affordable benefits plans, free trainings and CLE, 12 weeks paid parental leave, student loan forgiveness, pension eligibility, and a supportive collaborative work environment.
The Civil
Division, Administrative Law & Education Unit, seeks a Deputy Attorney
General to serve as Unit Head in the Kent County office.
This is a great opportunity to lead a dedicated team that supports the Department of Education, the Department of Insurance, the Division of Professional Regulation, the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Justice’s Freedom of Information Act Office as well as most of the Title 24 boards and commissions.
If selected, you will carry your own caseload and direct and manage other Deputy Attorneys General and the Assistant Unit Head; cooperate with other Unit Heads; carry out the direction and delegation of upper management; and perform other managerial tasks as needed.
This position is Internal/In-House only. Applicants only in the ALE Unit are invited to apply.
If you’re interested in taking the next step in your DOJ career and contributing to the important work of the Administrative Law & Education Unit you are encouraged to apply.
