Professional
level work managing and supervising daily activities of the Public Employment
Relations and Merit Employee Relations Boards including case management,
performance management of subordinates, planning and budget. Work requires application of the principles
and practices of dispute resolution, including administrative and quasi-legal
proceedings, and the application, interpretation, and implementation of
statutory, regulatory, merit rules, and contractual provisions. Requires experience in conducting hearings,
drafting decisions, and legal research and writing. This is an exempt position that reports
directly to the PERB/MERB Executive Director.
Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be
eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.
· At least 6 months experience in managing the processing of labor and employment law cases.
This Position is Exempt from the State of Delaware Merit System.
