Summary Statement

The position will develop processes and procedures for collecting, tracking, and reporting on interpretive data. This includes attendance data, feedback data, budgets, and staff/intern position data. This position is also responsible for developing reports and surveys in all areas of interpretation, including programming, exhibits, waysides and interpretive positions and projects. This position will train staff on data entry and reports and ensure integrity of all programming data. This position will support programs and initiatives that increase the public’s awareness of their surrounding environment and foster the appreciation, enjoyment, and utilization of Delaware State Parks. 

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate statewide interpretive data reporting
  • Develops forms, records and reports to document progress of projects
  • Deliver strategies and solutions to reporting and accurately quantifying data
  • Creates spreadsheets and databases to track exhibits, trainings, projects, and programs.
  • Ability to analyze and organize data and files.
  • Ability to create systems for the tracking and streamlining projects.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following area:

  1. One year experience in interpreting rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  2. One year experience using Microsoft Office Programs including Outlook, Excel, and Publisher, as well as Google Workspace.
  3. Possession of a valid driver's license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

This position will have Statewide responsibilities which requires travel throughout the State.  The State of Delaware provides transportation services to State agencies.

Conditions of Hire
