Summary Statement

This position will report to the Social Service Senior Administrator.  The incumbent will be working with the Home and Community-based Services (HCBS) waiver billing, cost allocation, auditing, and compliance within the division fiscal office.  The position will perform high level analytics, give attention to detail, and manage multiple projects.

Essential Functions

  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to support budget development.
     
  • Analyzes payroll information to assist in the development of staffing plans.
     
  • Provides analysis of programmatic impact on the agency's budget.
     
  • Works with division management/fiscal to review, prepare and monitor each division's budget.
     
  • Monitors and analyzes various legislation to determine possible impact on department's overall fiscal position.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Fiscal Analyst
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Six months experience in accounting using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 
  2. Six months experience in compiling, analyzing and interpreting financial data to ensure effective and efficient accounting of funds or to make projections for financial planning.
  3. Six months experience in analyzing financial problems, developing alternatives, recommending and advising management on solutions.
  4. Six months experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
  5. Six months experience in narrative report writing.
