Summary Statement

This position provides assistance to the Regional Wildlife Manager in accomplishing management objectives on State Wildlife and Fishing Areas.  The primary duties will include issuing permits to hunters and conducting hunting lotteries.  This involves early morning hours as lotteries are run 2 hours before sunrise and the attendant needs to be there ½ hour prior to the lottery in order to sign people in and remain at the lottery station until 1pm at the Cedar Swamp Wildlife Area.  Days vary based on the hunting season, and weekend work is required.

Essential Functions

  • Ensures the safe usage of state owned, managed and maintained grounds and facilities by the public.
  • Issues permits.
  • Conducts lottery.
  • Maintains records detailing daily activity, tool and equipment inventory, fuel and service logs and related activities.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
  • Performs other related work as required.
