Fort Miles is a special place for history enthusiasts, veterans, families, or anyone interested in learning about Delaware stories, Delaware heroes and Delaware’s role in WWII.

This position is responsible for developing and conducting interpretive programs for a major historic site. Duties will include working closely with Friend's groups and the re-enactor community to recruit volunteers and solicit support for park events. This position will oversee and present historically oriented interpretive programs and tours on a daily basis with the intent of increasing the public's awareness of these resources. This will require dressing in World War II era attire which can be extremely hot during the heat of summer. Additional duties include intensive off-season research with emphasis on establishing a museum about the site, along with teaching the staff how to safely conduct daily black powder demonstrations including firing of the Fort’s 3” gun.
